CD review: Decent pop rock from the Agents

Monarchs of a Fallen Society
Agents of the Sun
(Dcide)

Pop rock that is not too far removed from Busted! and Blink 182; this is not your normal small label indie pap. This is decent paced bouncy pop rock; no more so than on tracks like 'So Long'. While there are quite a few bands peddling this sort of music of late, there are not that many doing it this well. I am sure that the UK charts would eat up the aforementioned tracks and as well 'Camouflage' with great enthusiasm. The musicianship of the lads is obvious and there is talent on show here rather than just band-wagon jumping. Ray Dobson certainly has the vocal chops for this sort of rock. It is clear they have honed their craft over the years. 311 drummer Chad Sexton lent a hand mixing and Joe Gastwit handled the mastering. A well put together release.
