CD review: complete Biss?

Face-Off
Biss
(AOR Heaven)

Featuring Mark Storace of Krokus fame on vocals you would be forgiven for thinking this is the Krokus album that go away. In fact its a bit softer than Storace's normal fair but sits well with the singer's previous work. At other times this release has a Kingdom Come feel to it, which unlike many of reviewer who hated the so-called Kingdom Clone, I rather like some of their stuff. Tracks like 'Raise the Hammer' are fist-pumping rockers that get the blood moving in the system. This release does not break any new bounderies or come close to being a classic, it does however provide one with 10 tracks of competent enjoyable hard rock. Considering all the troubles this band have had in the last few years it amazing how good this CD is in the end. It will be very interesting to see what they manage to produce after a period of stability. This is definetely is a band to be watched.
