Buy the Sloan album - one of the best ten albums of this year. They crammed almost 80 minutes worth of music into this one - about 30 songs total, some short & snappy at 2 1/2 t0 3 1/2 minutes apiece, some shorter and snappier at about 1 minute apiece. It reminds me not style-wise, but monolith-wise of Husker Du's Zen Arcade mutated with the Beatle's White Album. I got it at their gig a few months back - they actually open with about half doz from this album, and they were all entirely familiar & singalongable by the second chorus.
Perhaps the great lost Canadian Band.
