Blackfield define quality prog

Pair a famous Israeli musician, Aviv Geffen, with the bloke from the Porcupine Tree, Steve Wilson, and what do you get? One of the best prog-rock albums for a very long time indeed. Inbued with the same vibe that makes classics like "Dark Side of the Moon" great, this is a truly awesome collection of music. There is not one lame track on this CD. It has rather mellow feeling with at least one track reminding me of 'Silent Lucidity' by Queensryche, especially on the track 'Lullaby'. One listen, or maybe two, and you realise why critics and prog-fans alike have been raving about this band. Certainly the best debut CD in any rock genre for the last year; it is essential for any prog-rock fan. It is a wee bit dark at times, almost gothy in feeling, but there is nothing wrong with that, now is there? Highly recomended and goes along way to convincing everyone else what Porcupine Tree fans have been saying, Steve Wilson is a musical genius.
