Okay, I'm in a little better stead here than with the singles. I've heard the first single from the "Eminem" album and it's unspeakably terrible. I'm not surprised to see the album doing well, but I am disappointed. That first single/video is completely terrible. I actually got an advance of the Green Day record but haven't listened to it. Rumor has it these guys want to be taken slightly more seriously than they did on Dookie. I didn't like Dookie and I'm unwilling to meet them halfway on this new record. I did hear part of the first single. It sounded like Green Day to me. I couldn't dig in.
Hillsong United is completely unfamiliar to me and we've covered Lady GaGa with the singles. Keith Urban is Nicole Kidman's husband and Australian. That is the extent of my knowledge there.
Interestingly at the backend of the Top 10 we get albums from Dave Matthews Band and Kings of Leon. DMB's new set is the first since the passing of bandmember Le'Roi Moore. Kings of Leon have been major players on the indie circuit and occupied a place somewhere just on the outside of the mainstream. They are known, but not well-known. I keep promising myself I'll one day check them out and I will, but I haven't gotten there yet.
So there you go. Those are your iTunes top sellers for this week. Let's check in next week and see what moves in and what moves out.

Josh, I think you're only going to hurt your mind doing this, if you're sampling the offerings on this singles list, at least. There is only so much the human brain can take.
That said, I can confirm that Grizzly Bear's Veckatimest is real good stuff. Not sure if you'd dig it, but it's good. And the bits of the new DMB I've heard are very surprisingly strong. And Kings Of Leon are okay if you like really repetitive stuff, I'll put it that way.

When you get there with KoL, please do not start with "Only By the Night." Go to 1st or 2nd album

I'm a glutton for punishment, Tom. We'll know I've really achieved the next state of evolution when I can force myself to actually listen to these tracks before writing about them.
Thanks to you both for the KoL tips.
