BILLY IDOL has been working on his first studio album in over a decade and lining up a handful of live shows to promote the album. Seems Idol and longtime guitarist Steve Stevens teamed up with veteran producer John Kalodner, who has fostered careers of such acts as BON JOVI and AEROSMITH. Even though no release date has been set for the album, Kalodner said that it will hit stores sometime "in winter or spring of 2005." According to Kalodner, "the style will be classic Billy Idol hit songs. He invented an amazing style and he's sticking to it." Idol has the following shows scheduled: September 10 - Temecula, CA - Pechanga Resort & Casino 12 - Alpine, CA - Viejas Casino (outdoors) 15 - Phoenix, AZ - Dodge Theatre 17 - Las Vegas, NV - Mandalay Bay Resort.

I remember watching The Wedding Singer, and thinking that the old punk guy on the plane near the end did a pretty good Billy Idol impersonation. Imagine my shock when I found out it WAS Billy Idol. Time had not been kind.

I was SO excited to hear that Billy Idol, after being dormant for so many years is back in the lime-light. We bought a Billy Idol CD after I heard he as "back" in concert after a long long draught! Much to my surprise my 8 and 13 year olds absolutely LOVE his music and are joining my husband and I with his next concert. Sure is nice to see Billy Idol come full circle with the generations. I hope he continues to make that good old ROCKn'ROLL! And as far as age? Real music is appreciate at any age and Billy Idol is NO exception!

Saw Billy at Glasgow Barrowland '05 and was blown away with his two hour set.For an old guy he still puts on a helloffa rock show.Billy conected with everyone of the 1200 fans.Considering he has 15 years on some stadium fillers eg.The Stones,I would rather shake his hand during a gig than be 200yds away out in the cold.

I went to the show last night to take photographs - ticket on behalf of the record label. I listened to the CDs on the way to the show. I hadn't heard them in about 10 years! The show started and his voice was a bit off (not that he was ever 'Pavarotti' mind you). Nonetheless the soup got cookin' and all I can say is if I had to have paid the money for the ticket it would have been worth it. Plain and simple - he rocked. I honestly saw some things on stage I have never seen before: inverted keyboards, an awesome drummer play a cool guitar solo and so much more. Girlies - the guy looks great too. Yeah, he's older - dah(!), it's called age. But he's got a good six-pack! He and the band played their hearts out - well over two hours! I went to the show with a smirk on my face and left with a smile and no voice due to the fact that I was hoopla-in' applause! Well done Mr. Idol, well done!
