Band Of The Week: The Hereafter - Page 3

Part of: Band of the Week

You toured this summer didn't you? This summer was a solo tour, wasn't it?

Yes, it was. The tour was one of the best things I've ever done. It was so much fun, it was hard, it was weird, it was depressing, and it was exhilarating. And I learned so much. I want to tour as much as possible for the rest of my life.

Are you and Andy going to tour together ?

Yes, we are. We've got a two-week swing back up the West Coast at the end of October - early November that Andy's going to come on, I think. We haven't worked out the details yet. It's difficult because it's an independent operation and no one's covering our expenses. This fall I'm going to be setting things up to spend a lot of time on the road next year. There should be another album at that point and a DVD, too. That's the goal, anyway.

Why didn't Andy go this summer?

A number of reasons, but I think the main one is that we needed a break. Recording this album was hard on both of us and we needed some breathing room. Also, I just needed to get out of Los Angeles for an extended period of time and Andy had to stay.

You have known Andy since sixth grade right? Have you been friends all that time?

I love Andy. I also respect the balls off of him as an artist. Yeah, all that time. Not so close initially. We really became close in tenth grade when we were in Cinderella. together.

The Hereafter CDYou were in Cinderella together? Which of you played Cinderella or were you both ugly stepsisters?

Very funny. I was "The Herald" and Andy was "The Steward." Big roles, it was a big deal at the time.

If you would like to listen to The Hereafter you can visit their website or their MySpace space. If you would like to purchase their CD you can find it at CDBaby.
