Band Of The Week: Attic Lights - Page 5

Part of: Band of the Week

Jamie: It's true, what more can I say?

You look so harmless and sweet.

Colin: I hate it when people say that to me! Call me gorgeous!

Jamie: Bloody hell, Colin!

Colin: WHAT?

Noel: Sometimes that's true, though. Sometimes we do fight. We had an on-stage bust up at a festival we played about three weeks ago. And it kind of taught us the lesson of not to drink too much before we go on stage. Basically we didn't go on stage until about three o'clock in the morning and we had been drinking since lunch time and we were all too pissed (British euphemism for drunk) to play. But Jamie was getting his second wind at the time; unfortunately he was the only one who was getting his second wind. And he got pissed off with us all when we couldn't play.

Were was this?

Jamie: Aye...it was in Aberdeen

Kev: When we tried to play a song and couldn't, Jamie was like “Fuck you! You're all a bunch of fannys (British euphemism for cunt).” Colin didn't take too kindly to that and had a little word with him. And we had this little bust up on stage and Jamie just chucked his guitar down and stormed off. He walked about half a mile to calm down.

What happened?

Kev: We got cut off.

What's your extended schedule like?

Kev: We are also recording our album which is going to get released in Japan when it's finished.

Japan?!

Kev: We are hoping to find a distributor in Britain.

Colin: Hopefully then we can get some more interest from some British labels.

Is there anything I haven't covered?

Jamie: I think this is a good place to end.

Kev: Yeah. Any more rope and we're going to hang ourselves.
