Jamie: We've been offered a deal and we are meeting with them tomorrow.
Noel: And then we are playing London, on Saturday night, for the first time which is pretty great!
Where are you playing?
Noel: The Sheep Walk. Then we are doing a small tour of the north of Scotland.
Tim: For ten days
Noel: So the next gig we play is London, then home to Glasgow for a night, then all the way up to Ullapool (far north of Scotland, about 700 miles from London). That's were I'm from - not Glasgow. So we've got Ullapool, Thruso, Inverness, Foress, St Andrews, and Arbroth. Just kind of spread us about to different places. Hopefully get people interested. You know, get us out there.
Colin: And hopefully we are going to get a gig in Stornoway and on the stage we are going to have standing stones with midgets dancing around them.
Jamie: That's Spinal Tap.
Colin: Oh, I thought that was us man. I thought that was my idea.
You need to stay off the drugs, dear. (laughter)
Noel: You know, I actually just finished reading Motley Crue's biography.
Colin: None of us actually like Motely Crue, we should point that out right now.
Noel: I'll put my hand up and say I did. They had the most ridiculous life ever, that whole clinched, heavy metal life style.
Tim: That's what we aspire to.
Isn't that what they were famous for? Didn't Vince go to jail for years for drunkenly killing someone?
Kev: No. For crimes against music.
Noel: No...he was in for six months
Who are you touring with?
Jamie: Dropkick.
Colin: It's a kind of west coast American sound right now in Glasgow.
Who are you biggest musical influences?
Colin: Wilco, Teenage Fan Club, The Beach Boys, Guided By Voices, Sparklehorse, Travis.
Jamie: (to Colin) What really drove me to your songs in the first place was that was you're...kind of...the way you sounded...your voice is really similar to, like, Will Oldham.
Colin: Will Oldham, yeah...Bonnie Prince Billy. Stuff like that.
Noel: Some of us really like the Beach Boys
Kev: The Flaming Lips, Grandaddy, Guided By Voices.
Guided By Voices are a big influence on you all then? How often do you practice?
Colin: At least two nights a week plus we play football together on a Tuesday. We are all very close. There was a time about a week ago when me and Jamie was almost fighting. I went hunting for him through the campsite but he wouldn't show himself he was so piss scared of me.
