American Idol goes underground. The producers of American Idol will launch an online version of the show this fall in the form of a radio show called American Idol Underground. Contestants will be able to upload their music for $50 and listeners will be able to listen and rate the tracks. The winners will be selected by celebrity judges, although unlike the radio show they are not guaranteed a record deal.
