Each day will be run by a different band who will play, pick the lineup and program a television channel. Mudhoney, Ween and another unannounced band will also take part in curating duties.
Firefox promo site compromised by hackers. An email sent out today stated that SpreadFirefox.com was broken into. The breach was caused by attackers attempting to exploit a vulnerability in Twiki. This is the second time the site has been attacked. The email stated that no user information was likely to have been exposed.
German company tests Nicotine beer. The company, Nautilus, hopes NicoShot will be approved in the next couple of months. The beer contains 3 milligrams of nicotine and is meant to help smokers quit by lessening their cravings.
Steve Jones stole from the stars. The Ex-Sex Pistols guitarist fears inviting stars to his radio station Jonesy’s Jukebox because he stole from many of them. Among those he stole from are David Bowie and Keith Richards. Jones says he had to do it because The Sex Pistols didn’t have money for equipment calling himself the “Robin Hood of punk.”
