One of the regular stars on the California live music circuit is Alexx Calise. A singer-songwriter and shredding guitarist, Calise has been making waves in the independent music scene with her hard edged singing style, combining the best of melodic hard rock and radio-friendly hooks.
Her music runs from hard edged to downright sultry, as in her track “Morning Pill”, recently featured in a promo for the TV show One Tree Hill. Calise has seen her music get heavy rotation on MTV and VH1 reality shows. She has also been feature in Guitar World, Singer and Musician, and Blender magazines. Just last moth, she was featured as a hot up and coming artist on Boston’s Kiss 108 FM radio station, and her single “Pull it (Bullet)" charted in Australia and got some airplay on US radio.
Calise, a Florida native, plays regularly gigs in California, where she’s known for her energetic stage presence. She recently inked a deal with Firewire Music Company, which helps artists find a place for their music in other medium: film, television, and advertising. Calisle is taking the innovative way to get her music to the fans, as well as exposing her songs to people that won’t hear it on traditional radio.
