But Tyler, who was awarded an honorary doctor of music degree by the Berklee College of Music this month, insists the band has always been rooted in the first indigenous music form of the United States.
I thought the first indigenous music form of the Americas would actually have been whatever music the Native Americans made. The blues was an African import originally, wasn't it?
