I still miss Bon. AC/DC is elemental organ-crushing rock 'n' roll the way God intended it. They've been rocking the rectum for almost 30 years, and every red-blooded American should at least own Highway to Hell and Back in Black. AC/DC is the perfect antidote to too much pussy fare like American Idol, and now is great time to beef up your collection. Get on it.

AC/DC are the best metal band on the planet simply because they have never once made a power ballad.

for me, they started the slide down the slope into heavy metal. They are and were the epitome of how rock 'n roll should be. Sure every album sounds the same (except for the switch from Bon to Brian).... but it was intended that way.

First band I ever saw live: AC/DC

As a side-note..... if they didn't make a power ballad, what do you call "Ride On?" It was more a heavy blues song, but it might qualify....

there were a few more slow-to-fast bluesier grooves, too....

Not making power ballads doesn't prove anything Rob. It just shows a lack of versatility.

Actually, AC/DC is so great because they never deigned to make a power ballad. Power ballads, what a cliched piece of crap filler that quickly became self parody and the sum total of everythjing that was wrong with hair metal.
