Following her own surgery to remove a cancerous lump from her breast back in February, Anastacia has said she plans to launch a campaign to inform young women about breast cancer. Speaking to NOW magazine she says: "It's a disease that affects all of us, and we have to be more aware. I think all girls, no matter what their age, should take a second and go get a mammogram."
She continued: "I'd like to start a foundation that offers people information about breast cancer. It's something that's really needed. A lot of people think breast cancer is a shameful disease because it attacks a feminine part of a woman. But I don't feel less attractive because I've had cancer."
Marty: This woman has one of the best voices in pop music. It is great to see that she is going to use it for such a worthy cause.
