Here's a pop music story like you don't really see much anymore: Brian "Head" Welch, guitarist and founding member of Korn, has quit the group and given his life to Jesus. STORY - STORY
At the Valley Bible Fellowship church in Bakersfield, California on Sunday, February 27, Welch was giving testimony in front of accumulated Korn fans, media and church members. "I was begging to die. He [God] saved my life. I'm here. I'm breathing."
From the official Korn website, "Korn has parted ways with Brian, who has chosen Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end. Korn respects Brian's wishes, and hopes he finds the happiness he's searching for."
Unfortunately, Welch apparently looks forward to a solo career, writing and making music with a positive message. Obviously, rock and soul music came up out of the church, but these converted rock performers giving up rock for gospel nearly always end up with very bad music. I wonder why that is. Think of that dude from Kansas. Heck, even Little Richard lost his artistic touch irrevocably upon his original conversion.
On the other hand, if Mr Welch finds peace in his soul, that's more important. And after all, it's just Korn.

Thank God for Brian coming out of some-
thing that was not mentally or spiritually profitable for his
daughter and for his own spiritual
growth. I hope and pray he has a positive influence on millions of young
people in this nation, who have been
listening to lyrics that curse God, man
etc. and are full of anger, when they
should be full of praise to God.....

An ex-Korn becoming a spiritual leader to millions might be just a bit much to expect. It'll be a pretty good accomplishment if he finds happiness for himself and his own family.

In the immortal words of Lou Reed " Does anyone need another self righteous rock singer, whose nose he says had led him straight to GOD" Good luk to him it took a bit of courage to call the world he was livin in for what it is. Just hope he isn't made into the rok n roll poster boy for Jesus

Choosing to live for Christ is the best thing I have ever done. Now, that I have Christ in my life I am happier than I have ever been before. Christ is the only one who can give true happiness. Drugs, alchol, and sex will never satisfy you only Christ can. He is more than welling to make a change in your life like he did Brian. You just need to turn to Christ like Brian did. Good luck Brain on being an awesome Godly role model. God will use you. I will pray that God will give you strength and wisdom for everyday. Jesus loves you all.

I praise God for this news. I used to be a hard core korn fan. I found God in 2000 and prayed for korn to get saved. To Brian: We all take on persecution on living for God but just remember, The world hated Him first. Never give up the fight. This world is temporary and holds no true value.

Jon said it best:
Beating the fall
I can’t help but desire of falling down this time
Deep in this hole of my making I can't escape
Falling all this time
We come to this place
Falling through time
Living a hollow life
Always we're taking
Waiting for signs
Hollow lives...(lives [x7])
Fearing to fall and
Still the ground below me calls
Falling down this time
Ripping apart all
These things I have tried to stop
Falling all this time
We come to this place
Falling through time
Living a hollow life
Always we're taking
Waiting for signs
Hollow lives...
Is there ever any wonder why we look to the sky?
Search in vane?
Asking why?
All alone?
Where is God?
Looking down?
We don’t know?
We fall in space,
We can't look down,
Death may come
Peace I have found
What to say?
Am I alive,
Am I asleep?
Or have I died
(Wanting Peace)
We fall in space
(Wanting Peace)
We can't look down,
Death may come,
(Something takes a hold of me)
Peace I have found
(Something takes a hold of me)
I want to say my whole life,
Am I asleep?
We fall down.
We come to this place
Falling through time,
Living a hollow life,
Always we're taking
Waiting for signs,
Hollow lives...
Is there ever any wonder why we look to the sky?
Search in vane?
Asking why?
All alone?
Where is God?
Looking down?
We don’t know? [x2]
We fall in space
We can't look down
Death may come.
Peace I have found
