The Politik races off the line with soul power, with its triple time drum patterns starting off the self titled album. The hyper interlude is more than enough to prepare you for the funky flavor of the album. Milan Records presents a incredible package, with the newly licensed, import from The Politik.

The sound of The Politik is deep, with varying degrees of brilliance emerging from the collaborations. Bembé Segué and Mark de Clive-Lowe, the two artists behind The Politik, came together from shared worlds. They both have helped craft some of the most beautiful music that you may not have heard, unless your really up on your shit. Think of 4Hero, Silhouette Brown, Platinum Pied Pipers, and Masters At Work and you’ll get a mental image of what your in for with this one. Pure hotness, without the hype for real music fans is what The Politik is all about.

MdCL & Segue have received radio support and media praise as well, with Los Angeles taste maker Garth Trinidad of KCRW giving “Money (Don’t Let It Catch Ya)” lots of burn. Okayplayer.com call the group "fresh air in a business filled with copycats and unoriginal offerings." with many more magazines and music writers diggin' the sounds.  You will too, soon as you give it a honest listen.

The album is filled with many radio and club friendly tracks, such as “Sweet” feat. Replife (Listen), and “How Do They Know” feat Daz I Kue (Listen). The duo gets really slick with the stellar “She’s Gone” (Listen), and they bring it to another level with “Feel It” feat. Bahamida (Listen), adding her thick vocals to the drum and bass brew. “Moonlight” featuring BLU (Listen) is another banger, sure to get dance floors bouncing across the world.

With its soulful throwback vibe, The Politik have made an album destined to be a DJ favorite and ultra hip music fans prized possession. Look for it at your favorite music shop.
