Schaffer Chimere Smith also known as Ne-Yo always seems to dazzle his fans. This Grammy award winning singer, songwriter, dancer, producer, and actor is recognized as one of the most talented artist in the 20th century. Born in Camden, Arkansas and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada Ne-Yo began his career as a songwriter and he quickly started making hits such as Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable” and Rihanna’s “Unfaithful”.

Ne-Yo has produced three number one albums and sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. Though he took a two year break to pursue his acting career he is now back with his new album Libra Scales that was released on November 22, 2010 by Def Jam.

This album is the fourth studio album by this R & B super star and is already climbing the billboard charts. Libra Scales is accompanied with long form music videos that bring Ne-Yo’s vision of his album to life. These science fiction, comic book like music videos were inspired by the king of pop, Michael Jackson. Ne-Yo had the honor to work with the legend Michael Jackson before his death and much of his music on the album can be linked to the creativeness of the legend.

Libra Scales reached number one in the U.S. Billboard’s charts and sold over 113,000 copies the first week of its release. The album is apparently doing well with its Euro-Pop number one hit “Beautiful Monster”. Not too far behind his single “Champagne Life” and “One In A Million” quickly reached the top of the Billboard charts. The album continues to break records and is expected to continue doing so on the road to success.

Music will always be Ne-Yo’s number one aspiration and he declares that he will not let anyone take it away from him. He will continue to stun the world and his fan with his innovative music.
