Encumbered within every note of all hymns ever heard or sang are the deep and touching stories of endurance and faith. Such are the songs that cause us to breathe a fresh air of hope and reassurance over painful memories, daily prejudice suffered, and the indelible scars we tend to bear even in the face of life’s uncertainties.

A good example of the above is It is Well, an inspirational CD compilation of 10 favourite hymns and songs which would stir within us such inner calm; on the wings of a speechless rendition, performed by Mark Baldwin, who also previously produced the instrumental worships album titled Quiet Reflections 2009.

With a relaxing mood in mind, the songs have been beautifully produced using strings, classical guitars, and the piano. More important are the endearing scriptural readings at the beginning of every new track to keep our focus on the shepherd of man’s souls.

It is Well is suitable for all occasions whether we just long to be alone with God having a quiet reflection, or simply for soaking. It is also helpful during those periods when the strings of hope within us feel like giving way under the pressures of life’s storms.

Songs Include:
* Be Still, My Soul/Be Still and Know.
* O Love That Wilt Not let me Go.
* Rock of Ages/In Christ Alone/Be Thou My Vision.

* Great is thy Faithfulness/My Jesus, I love thee.
* It is Well with my soul
* Jesus, Lover of My Soul/Turn your Eyes upon Jesus.
*Saviour, Like a Shepherd lead Us/Beneath the Cross of Jesus.
*Jesus, I am resting/’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus.
* Peace like a River.
* Be still and Know.

I have been blessed by this instrumental production and believe beyond any iota of doubt that it’ll bless others too.
