You wouldn’t think that classic rock and dance music would be caught in the same room together, but when nobody’s looking, those two little whores can’t keep their hands off each other. This playlist contains remixed versions of classic rock songs. Some are close to the original with a heavier drum track, a few are really cover songs with a dance beat and some will leave you scratching your head, but all in all, it’s a lot of fun.

Play this playlist with Rhapsody or with Yahoo Music Unlimited.

You know, these would be absolutely *perfect* for use with Dance Dance Revolution (or Stepmania, actually), but of course I’d need an MP3 for that. ;-)

That Rolling Stones / Dr. Dre number sounds great… I’d love to see the doc do a full album of these.

Does anyone remember Will To Power’s horrendous medley of “Baby, I Love Your Way / Freebird”? Not campy, not creative – just painful. “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” and “Keeping The Faith” are two songs that simply deserve to die and go to hell. Maybe this is an empty new trend – I know this “glam” band from California, working so hard to look like ’74 Mott and they just covered Huey Lewis. Retch retro – ugly – and the royalties going to bloated buggers who need to diet anyway.

    awwwwwww…. I liked ‘Baby, I love…’ and ‘Do ya think…’ … ;-)

    Interesting list, Robert.

I have 9 of the songs on your list, but only two are the same versions on your list (The Police & DJ Sammy). I have a few remixes of the kind you refer to myself, of other songs by various other artists.
