This playlist contains 32 covers of classic ’80s songs. I have taken great care to only select interesting and well done acoustic versions of memorable 80s songs by the likes Big Country, Peter Gabriel, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Fine Young Cannibals, Billy Idol, Prince and more. The fact that these covers are grounded in acoustic instrumentation makes for a fluid listening experience, without losing that nostalgic twinkle.

I’ve got all but seven of the originals on your list, but none of the acoustic versions!! I also have about 7 extended versions of the originals. As for those doing the covers, I have one original song by Tori Amos, and one album by Eva Cassidy.
Re. acoustic versions of other songs by the artists above, I do have a Corrs (from their 2001 “best of…” album) acoustic version of REM’s “Everybody Hurts”.
