Welcome back to the Movie Media column featuring trailers, posters, and clips for upcoming films. Some are nice and fresh and some aren’t. However, they all have something in common: for better or worse, they all caught my attention. If there is a poster or trailer you think I should check out, be sure to let me know.

This week’s movie goodies include media for a pair of pot comedies, a big budget sequel, a pregnancy comedy, a sex comedy, and more!

Hellboy II: The Golden Army – Stills, Trailer

I am really looking forward to this movie. Guillermo Del Toro is a very good director who has successfully built a career straddling the line of populist and art house films. He has an interesting filmography that includes: The Devil’s Backbone and Mimic. How many directors can be at home with these vastly different films? Now, in the wake of the brilliant Pan’s Labyrinth we get the sequel to Hellboy. This sequel looks like it is bringing his Pan-style vision together with his comic book sensibilities. The trailer looks fantastic, just take a look at these stills and the new trailer:

Sex and Death 101 – Poster, Trailer

What would you do if you received an email listing everyone you’ve ever had sex with and all the people you ever will? Now, what would you do if the last name on the list was the name of a woman who preys on sexual predators? Prepare to find out in Sex and Death 101, a movie that could be quite entertaining, or completely terrible (that narrows it down, no?). Simon Baker stars as the man with the list and Winona Ryder as his destiny. Daniel Waters serves as writer and director, his credits include Demolition Man and Hudson Hawk.

Baby Mama – Poster, Stills, Trailer

You want to know something? This movie looks pretty funny. Tina Fey stars as a single woman looking to become a mother, but who needs a surrogate to accomplish that. Enter Amy Poehler and Dax Shepard. Comedy ensures. It almost seems to write itself. The trailer is funny, and now there are a bunch of stills and a new poster to check out:

The Spirit – Posters

It is not due to arrive until next year, but we are already on the second poster (actually, series of posters). The latest tease is a trio of posters made to be displayed together. This could prove to be a really good movie, at least I hope so. Gabriel Macht (Because I Said So) stars as the title character. Alongside him in the Frank Miller directed film are Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Mendes, Jamie King, and Paz Vega.

Bad Batch – Poster

I have not been able to find any information regarding the film other than this poster. It does look intriguing though….

Pineapple Express – Poster

Another one of Judd Apatow’s 2008 productions. It is an action/pot comedy featuring the green stuff and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Seth Rogen and James Franco star for director David Gordon Green. Now we have our first glimpse at the print campaign with this poster:
