Michael John Lee is best known by the name Michael Johns. He is a rock/soul-singer, and music songwriter. He was a finalist on the reality TV show American Idol in season seven. His eighth place finish and surprising elimination made him an instant celebrity. He was born October 20, 1978 in Perth, Western Australia. His parents are William Lee and Janet Burke (she is now married to John Burke). He married Stacey Vuduris and currently lives in Los Angeles California.
Michael Johns came to America in 1998 and attended college at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia on a tennis scholarship. He was signed to two major recording contracts with Maverick and Beverly Martel Music prior to earning a place on American Idol in July of 2007. His first single "Another Christmas" made headline news nationwide when it was released on TRP Records December 9, 2008 as his gift to charity.
