Talking of artists going it alone – Mr Mark Owen has parted company with
Universal Island after his come back album ‘In Your Own Time’ failed to
capitalise on the hype surrounding the former Take That boy post-Celeb Big
Brother. Despite the single sales success of ‘Four Minute Warning’ and the much reported cameo at Robbie Williams’ Knebworth gig, the album failed to go Top 20. Word is Mark now plans to set up his own label and self-release new material.

Another warbler! what, i dont think you know what you are talking about. erasing the memory of take that wud be the worst thing we cud do. we need to erase the memory of robbie williams getting bigger! Mark Owen is the best to come out of take that! has an amazing voice (shut up with your ‘reasonable singer’s) and he is gorgeous!!!

He’s a reasonable singer/songwriter bloke, but will he ever be able to fully shake off the trappings of Take That? What he really needs is a special device (such as the one used in Men In Black) to wipe Take That from our memories, so that when he releases his album no one will be saying ‘oh, it’s the cute one from Take That, still trying to go it alone’ or ‘oh no, yet another warbler from another defunct group trying to get even more money from the public’.

Maybe then people will judge him on his merits alone.

Indeed Mark Owen has set up his own record label (Sedna Records) and is about to release a new single (Makin’ Out) on May 24th.
The song is catchy and you should watch out for the video, it’s really funny!
