Marc Ecko, fashion mogul turned video game producer, kicked off his promotional tour yesterday for Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure. This new video game was developed in a partnership between Marc Ecko, video game developers “The Collective”, and Atari. The Times Square Virgin Mega store was the location of his first stop on the tour. On hand to help promote the game was hip-hop legend Rakim. Tons of gaming fans and art school kids where lined up to get a personal tag from Mr. Ecko and Rakim.

The other two signings will take place in San Francisco and Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Wednesday, February 22 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Ecko will be signing copies at the Virgin Megastore located in San Francisco’s Union Square and the GameStop at 154 Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, California. No other signing dates have been confirmed yet.

About The Game:
Play as Trane graffiti artist with the street smarts, athletic prowess and vision to become an “All City King,” the most reputable of all graffiti artists. Along his path he discovers the mayor’s deep, dark secrets and uses his fighting talents and artistic vision to expose the city’s leader as a corrupt tyrant. This game tries to answer the question: What if graffiti could change the world?

The game packs a killer hip-hop soundtrack track produced by P. Diddy. Special exclusive versions of Notorious B.I.G.’s “Who Shot Ya,” remixed by Serj from the band System of a Down; “Clik, Clak, and Spray” from Pack FM; “Book of Judges” from Pharoahe Monch; and “Getting Up Anthem: Part 1,” performed by legendary Hip-Hop artist Rakim and Talib Kweli make this video game a classic all to itself. The game features the voice acting talents of Talib Kweli, Rosario Dawson, Brittany Murphy, George Hamilton, Giovanni Ribisi, Adam West, Andy Dick, Charlie Murphy, The RZA and Michael “M.C. Serch” Berrin.
