Playlouder is webcasting select sets from this weekend’s Glastonbury Festival in England, which has drawn over 100,000 fans to a rain soaked farm in Somerset. One gets a sense the majority of fans will be due for a right cleaning once the 3 day festival is over.
Today an archive already exists for sets by Babyshambles, featuring former Libertines frontman/crackhead Pete Doherty, and Bloc Party, fresh off their North American tour, which ended in Philly last Saturday. Doves and Fatboy Slim also will be webcast live today, with BM Rant favorites Interpol being webcast live tomorrow along with Futureheads and New Order. More webcasting on Sunday of Garbage, The Wailers and The La’s.
Here is a link to the webcasts.
NME.com, as usual, has great coverage of the goings on at the festival, including some lightning strikes earlier today that left one of Morrissey’s favorite new bands, Dead 60s, “gutted” by not being able to perform at Glasto after their stage was hit.
