The Light Relief device is one of a number of available options to manage stiffness and pain arising during the normal course of living. Anyone, from people who suffer periodic athletic injuries to people who are sedentary, may require ways to deal effectively with the stiffness, pain, or range-of-motion limitations which can arise from a plethora of muscle and joint issues.

There are a myriad of modalities, including vitamins, herbs, physical therapy, acupuncture, surgery, and devices like Light Relief, aimed at alleviating stiffness from injuries, inactivity or oncoming middle or old age.

Light Relief is an FDA approved device. The scientific principle behind the device is the emission of red/blue LED light to penetrate deep into capillaries. This level of penetration enhances blood flow, blood circulation and toxin release, according to the manufacturer.

A contoured ergonomic base fits into the hand so the user can navigate stiff areas with deep-penetrating LED light at safe frequencies.

The Light Relief may be used by athletes, gardeners, people who drive great distances, and virtually anyone facing the prospect of chronic pain and stiffness arising from activity, inactivity, bad food choices, inheritable characteristics, or just plain advancing age.

Medically, the device may be helpful for increasing circulation, blood flow, getting rid of toxins, and reduced swelling. It should be utilized in consultation with medical professionals like the family general practitioner, rheumatologist, physical therapist, nutritionist, or expert in physical medicine and rehabilitation. In addition, chronic pain may have linkages to conditions of the gastrointestinal tract.

A blood workup is the vehicle for verifying levels of inflammation via statistics like the C-reactive protein, white blood cell count and SED rate.

Numerous forms of light therapy are now available, according to the Burton Goldberg Group. These include full-spectrum light therapy, UV light therapy, cold laser therapy, and colored light therapy. Light Relief is just one of the growing number of light therapies available to the public.
