If the impact of New Media was ever in doubt, the swiftness of the response by millions of viewers, commenters, bloggers, and twitterers to the recent public scandals surrounding first Serena Williams, then Kanye West and Taylor Swift at the MTV VMA event, and as always, coverage of President Obama, is proof.

Here’s our compilation album (for as long as it lasts; note – images online and in blogs never go away, they’re there for as long as the Internet lasts).

Kanye Goes on Leno to Apologize; He’s Contrite

Someone Mashes Kanye and Obama

To top if off, when asked off the record what the President thought of Kanye’s performance at the VMA, the President said he was a “jackass.” Which an ABC reporter then posted on Twitter (until ABC retracted it, apologized, and acted contrite about it.)

You’ve gotta love it! (Or fear it.)

And let’s not even start on Serena. She killed her tennis racket, then threatened to shove a tennis ball down the line ref’s throat for a questionable call.

All of this within a three-day period, from start to finish.

Expect the video game soon.
