Writing non-fiction for teens and adults, author Daniel Friedmann carefully examines the relationship between scientific theory and biblical teachings in his debut The Broken Gift. Friedmann is a professional engineer and holds a master’s degree in engineering physics. “I am on a quest for answers — not about the future but the past.” he shared.

Friedmann is currently CEO of Canada’s leading aerospace company and is involved in space exploration. His religious education was pretty elementary until about 12 years ago when he started attending regular studies. This led to the creation of his first book, The Genesis One Code, previewed in the National Post, Star and The Wall Street Journal.

“For much of my life,” Friedmann says. “I have asked myself how did we get here? When I discovered that Bible and science are mostly in agreement as to what happened and how — although not completely on when it happened, and by studying both the Bible and science we can get as close as we have ever gotten to understand how we came to be. I decided to share the result in both books The Genesis One Code and The Broken Gift.”

Many have asked why would any scientist consider biblical sources to answer the origins question. Friedmann The-Broken-Gift-smallexplains whether you are certain or not about evolution there are many open questions in science today. “Questions like why only us? There were about 20 hominin species, only we survived and why did we develop advanced conceptual thinking?“

The Broken Gift has an excellent coverage of the biblical position” Friedmann says. “In addition, the simple reading of Genesis seems in complete contradiction with fossil record evidence. This contradiction is dealt with in The Broken Gift head on in a comprehensive manner — never done before.”

Whether you agree or disagree. Either way, you will be fascinated!
