Dawn Brown was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. Her first sojourn into storytelling began when she was nine. She would gather neighborhood kids into her garage and regale them with ghost stories, believing even then that atmosphere played an important role in a good story.

Now Dawn spends her days creating dark, romantic mysteries with edgy heroes, clever heroines and villains she hopes will keep her readers sleeping with the light on.

Dawn was absolutely fabulous sharing her Thanksgiving traditions with me – especially since she celebrated Thanksgiving last month.  Happy belated Thanksgiving to you and yours Dawn and to all of my Canadian friends!

Enjoy!

What are you most grateful for?

My family.

Favorite Thanksgiving tradition?

Turkey dinner with family.

Where will you spend Thanksgiving this year?

Thanksgiving was at our house this year.

Most memorable Thanksgiving memory?

Thanksgivings spent at our family cottage.

What do you do the eve before Thanksgiving?

Not a lot really. Thanksgiving is a pretty low key holiday for us.

What’s your number one splurge food?

Anything with chocolate.

What do you prefer sweet or salty?

Sweet.

What are your plans for the holidays this year?

Just dinner with family at our place.

Which food and drink combo says it’s the holiday season to you?

Turkey and stuffing. Besides Christmas, I can’t think of any other time we eat it.

What are the five tools you must have in the kitchen for Thanksgiving dinner?

Just one. My husband to do the cooking for me.

Please share a favorite Thanksgiving recipe.

I’m kind of a lousy cook so I don’t really have one.

If you could have a dream Thanksgiving dinner party, who would you invite?

I know it’s kind of boring, but I really just want to be with my family on the holidays.

What’s the one Thanksgiving dish your family can’t live without?

Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and apple pie.

What do you do after the meal is finished? Play football? Watch football? Movies?

Usually, we watch a movie. This year it was Bridesmaids. So funny.

Pumpkin, Pecan or Apple?

Apple.

Are you up early the next morning to kick off your holiday shopping?

No. I’m Canadian, so we celebrate at the beginning of October and that’s way too soon to start my shopping.

Thank you so much for this warm Thanksgiving memory.

Happy Thanksgiving from my house to yours! Thanksgiving happiness to you from Blogcritics.
