House M.D. stars British actor Hugh Laurie as the title character, Dr. Gregory House. Dr. House is irascible and antisocial but a highly skilled diagnostician who solves medical puzzles beyond the grasp of almost anyone.
The series premiered on the Fox Television Network in November 2004. Both the series and Laurie have been nominated for or won numerous awards, including Emmy and Golden Globe Awards. Thus, House M.D. is both popular and critically acclaimed.
