Want to win a comic book? You know you do.

Heroes Lets You Choose Your Hero and BC Magazine Lets You Win a Comic Book

I have some heroes. You probably have some heroes. We all need heroes. People need someone to look up to. I never found anyone who fulfilled my need… wait, bad song, I apologize, let's move on.

Heroes. Heroes help us. Heroes save the day. Heroes are, I think, a crucially important element of our society. Think about it, if there were no heroes, who would stop the villains? Who, I ask you, who?

Here's my question to you: Have you ever thought of creating your own hero? Perhaps, you'd make a hero like Hiro. Perhaps you'd make a hero like the cheerleader. Perhaps, just perhaps, you'd make a hero like Sylar. You'd have to be sick and twisted to do such a thing, but hypothetically you could.

And, do you want to know where you could do such a thing? Of course you do. Well, I'm going to tell you. Heroes and Sprint are bringing back the "Create Your Hero" contest. It's actually time to vote in the contest, time to choose which of the remaining heroes created by you the public will win. So, vote here, and vote now.

Even if you're not interested in voting though, might I encourage you check out the TV show, Heroes? It's really quite enjoyable, and the promos for the new season look pretty swell.

If you know me, you know that I wouldn't just throw out such a suggestion, I'd try to entice you, I'd dangle a little something-something in front of you in order to keep the show in your mind. Well, I've got 10 something-somethings this time, one for each of 10 winners. I've got 10 Heroes comic books (illustrated by the late Michael Turner) to give you (or to give you one of should you win). All you have to do is read the rules, enter the contest, and read this line right here where I once again encourage (but do not require) you to vote in the Heroes & Sprint "Create Your Hero" contest and to watch Heroes when it resumes airing on NBC Monday nights this fall.

Our rules (plus the ones on the entry form's website):

  • Fill out the entry form.
  • Entries must be received by August 29, 2008.
  • The winners will be drawn on or after August 30, 2008.
  • The winners will be notified by e-mail and in the comments section below.
  • You must be a U.S. resident to enter.
