It’s that time of year — the boo!, the costumes, the candy, the bump in the night, the candy, the parties, the candy. Did I mention the candy?
Rhys Bowen writes historical mysteries and has taken the time to share a few Halloween moments with us, so before you grab a copy of Naughty in Nice or Bless the Bride and your favorite chocolate goodies and some caramel scones, let’s dish with Rhys.
Favorite Halloween candy?
Love candy corn.
What will you be for Halloween this year?
The person who holds the flashlight for eight-year-olds.
Trick or treat?
Treat would be nice–diamonds, spa vacation…I’m not fussy.
Worst Halloween costume as a kid?
We didn’t have Halloween when I was growing up in England. Too bad.
Most memorable Halloween memory?
Going to a party with husband as the devil and a fallen angel. Getting lost. Asking for directions and watching kids freak out when they saw the horns growing out of my husband’s head.
Worst Halloween film you still watch… and love?
It would have to be the great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. I hate scary movies!
Hitchcock or blood and gore?
Definitely Hitchcock. I like suspense and clever movies.
Favorite scary movie?
Any Hitchcock. Foul play. I’m a wimp, I’m sorry.
Do you still watch It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown?
See above. Love any Charlie Brown movie!
