Xbox Live Arcade Review: Commanders: Attack of the Genos - Page 2

Part of: Xbox Live Arcade Games

In the end, Commanders isn’t a bad game, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. The game feels like an attempt to bring Advance Wars to the Xbox 360 more so than something new and exciting. Whether or not you’ll want this title will depend on how much of a turn-by-turn strategy game fan you are. It’s certainly not a big waste of 800 MS Points, but with so many other games on Xbox Live Arcade that are better, Commanders will probably get lost in the shuffle. But hey, at least it’s better than Band of Bugs.

Pros: Pretty easy to pick up and play. Interesting choice of an art deco art style.

Cons: Doesn’t exactly bring anything new to the strategy genre.

Commander: Attack of the Genos is rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and older) by the ESRB for Mild Vioelnce
