Xbox 360 Review: TNA Impact! - Page 4

When put alongside THQ and Aki's WWE titles as of late, TNA Impact! doesn't seem to stack up well. Gameplay, specifically the limited move sets wrestlers have, is a bit of a hindrance and easily the biggest disadvantage this game has. It also lacks in other areas, like customization and the announcing. With that said, the platform to build a better wrestling game is certainly there. The aspects of this game that are good are very good, and with a bit more work Midway can really get the TNA franchise up to par with that of WWE. In a sense, this game mirrors the real-life TNA: while there are positives, a lot of work is needed for it to be competitive with the industry leader. However, with a bit more content for both the game and it's real-life counterpart, it could be something special.

Pros: Great character animations. Interesting storyline.

Cons: Limited wrestler move sets. Annoying announcers.

TNA Impact! is rated T (Teen) by the ESRB for Alcohol Reference, Mild Language, Suggestive Themes and Violence. This game can also be found on: PS2, PS3 and Wii.
