XBox 360 Review: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - Page 2

If you've played and liked the previous Tekken games, you'll be happy to know that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 contains the largest amount of characters to choose from in the franchise — more than 50 (both male and female) are present here. It also contains new stages that allow you to fight in a variety of different countries around the world.  You can even fight in a special Snoop Dogg stage while you listen to his exclusive Tekken track, "Knocc 'em Down!"  There is also an online mode that will allow you to challenge other players through ranked and unranked matches.

The game is relatively simple to get the hang of and allows for a great amount of options so you can become an expert at the moves you want in the setting you want.  Attacks, as you might expect, include a variety of kicks and punches both on the mat and in the air.  And, choosing different characters gives the game a whole new feel.

As someone who is new to Tekken, I found the menus to be a bit overwhelming, especially since there are not a lot of options for help included.   The graphics are quite good and all of the movements are smooth with no jumpiness.  The sound is really stellar and includes both the sounds of fighting as well as some great background music to put you in the mood. If you're a Tekken fan, you won't want to miss this one.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is rated T (Teen) by the ESRB for Alcohol Reference, Crude Humor, Mild Blood, Partial Nudity, Sexual Themes, Violence. This game can also be found on:  PS3.
