Check out these various game titles to enjoy on the Xbox 360 this holiday season (all release dates subject to change).
The animated TV Simpson family expands into a huge collection of popular video game parodies in The Simpsons Game on October 30. LEGO animation offers the repackaged Star Wars series with LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga on November 6. Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and various villains in the film and comic series mesh together as players can switch sides in Spider-Man: Friend or Foe. Movie-to-game adaptations include Beowulf (Nov. 13), Bee Movie (Oct. 30) and Golden Compass (Dec. 4).
NBA Live 08 features a new Go-To Move feature. Gamers can also choose from continuing sports titles like FIFA Soccer 08 (Oct. 9), NBA 2K8, College Hoops 2K8 (Nov. 5) and NCAA March Madness (Dec. 18). WWE Smackdown! Vs. Raw 2008 (Nov. 13) and Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground (Oct. 15) provide even more sports action. If hunting or fishing is your sport, then check out Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2008 (Nov. 6) and Monster Bass (Nov. 13).
Start your engines with another continuing series, Project Gotham Racing with the fourth installment. The FlatOut action racing series also continues with Ultimate Carnage, featuring widescreen high definition graphics. SEGA Rally Revo (Oct. 9) features several different racing surfaces and settings. Other racing titles include Need for Speed ProStreet (Oct. 30) and MX Vs. ATV Untamed (Dec. 17). Disney/Pixar’s Cars Mater-National offers racing, mini-games and multiplayer fun on October 23.
Switching gears into the action genre is no problem thanks to plenty of titles like Virtua Fighter 5 (Oct. 30), Conan (Oct. 23), Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War (Nov. 6), Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back (Nov. 13), Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal (Oct. 9) and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary (Oct. 23).
Army of Two (Nov. 13) keeps the action coming in pairs while America’s Army: True Soldiers (Oct. 23) lets players take on the roles of sniper, rifleman or grenadier. Experience action in different periods through the first person shooter TimeShift (Oct. 30) while the Half-Life 2 repackaged collection Orange Box (Nov. 13) continues the adventures of Gordon Freeman.
