It's Monday, and that can only mean one thing! No, not going back to work or school: video games! Specifically, the latest releases on the Wii Shop Channel.
This week may be the single greatest week ever on the Wii Shop Channel, and I do not mean that lightly. First off, we get two WiiWare titles - including the long-anticipated Mega Man 9 along with the first WiiWare game ever announced - and not one, but two great Virtual Console titles. But first, a bit of news:
Alien Crush Returns DLC to be free?: As reported on Siliconera, Hudson's upcoming WiiWare title, Alien Crush Returns, may have free DLC downloads for Wii owners in Japan. The hard facts on how this works aren't yet known, and we don't know if they'll be doing the same
Proto Man to appear as DLC for Mega Man 9: As reported by GamesRadar, Proto Man (or Blues for you folks in Japan) is headed to Mega Man 9 as DLC on October 6. He'll set you back 200 Wii points ($2 US) and will bring with him a host of new power-ups and pretty much a whole new way to play Capcom's latest Mega Man game.

Mega Man 9 (CAPCOM, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone-Mild Cartoon Violence, 1,000 Wii Points): Mega Man fans, the wait is over! The classic Blue Bomber that debuted in 1987 is back with the ninth installment in the classic series. It's a new adventure for Mega Man done in an 8-bit style-graphics, music and gameplay are all like you remember them.
PLÄTTCHEN twist 'n' paint (Bplus, 1-8 players, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points): PLÄTTCHEN twist 'n' paint is a crazy, challenging puzzle shooter that delivers more than 100 hours of fun, supporting up to eight players simultaneously. Guard the birth of ZeLeLi and free them from the menace of the evil black Shadow Plättchen. Play as one of the countless FantasyMEs and fight as an astronaut, butterfly, car or football against sharks, cowboys, asteroids and skulls in numerous, fabulous fantasy Worlds.
