What's New on the Wii/DSi Shop Channel for December 13, 2010

Part of: Wii/DSi Shop News and Releases

This week on the Nintendo download services, we've got a new Virtual Console game, a new game where you steer a line through a level to make fresh beats, and no fireplaces or flashlight apps! Yes!

This week's games are as follows:

On DSiWare this week, we have Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ (Gammick Entertainment, 1 player, 800 DSi Points), Jam Space: PocketStudio (HB Studios, 1 player, 500 DSi Points) and Just Sing! Christmas Songs (Engine Software, 1 player, 200 DSi Points). Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ has you playing as fairytale characters while taking on other zombified fairytale characters. Jam Space: PocketStudio is a basic MIDI editor and music composition tool. Finally, Just Sing! Christmas Songs is a karaoke song with plenty of holiday songs.

WiiWare has three titles this week: Lilt Line (Gaijin Games, 1 player, 500 Wii Points) and its demo, Family Games (Icon Games Entertainment, 1-4 players, 500 Wii Points) and Violin Paradise (Keystone Game Studio, 1-4 players, 700 DSi Points). Lilt Line sends you on a journey through a crazy landscape as a line, having to pass checkpoints in time with a soundtrack. Family Games is a collection of pen-and-paper games for your Wii. Violin Paradise lets you conduct music performances. You can also take part in the performances with a violin, viola or cello using your Wii remote.

And the Virtual Console's got a new games: Darius Twin (SNES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points). Darius Twin is a side-scrolling shooter that gets a little crazy at times. For example, there are fish bosses.

Darius Twin debuted on the Japanese Virtual Console in April. It, along with Lilt Line and its demo, Family Games and Violin Paradise, are available for download off the Wii Shop Channel, while Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ, Jam Space: PocketStudio and Just Sing! Christmas Songs are available for download off the DSi Shop Channel.

Check back next week for the latest round of digital releases for the Wii and DSi. Until then, happy gaming!
