On the Virtual Console this week are Secret Command from the Sega Master System (1-2 players, 600 Wii Points) and the Sega Genesis game Pulseman (1 player, 900 Wii Points). After weeks of neglect, it seems like the old VC is finally getting some much deserved love. Secret Command is actually just Rambo: First Blood Part II under a different name and without the Rambo license (which is why we're getting this version), but the real treat here is Pulseman. The game, released only in Japan previously, is notable not only for being fun, but for being the first game from Game Freak. You may remember them for one of their later titles, some game called Pokemon or something like that. Pulseman is hard to find and a definite must-get for me.
Pulseman was released in April 2007 on the Japanese Virtual Console and last week on the PAL Virtual Console. Secret Command was released in April on the PAL Virtual Console and in June 2008 on the Japanese Virtual Console. They, along with Ant Nation, Bit Boy!!, and Incoming!, are available for download off the Wii Shop Channel, while Brain Challenge is available for download off the DSi Shop Channel.
Check back next week for the latest round of digital releases for the Wii and DSi. Until then, happy gaming!
