The Burning Crusade Midnight Release Line - Page 2

The surprising number of ladies in pajama pants were an added bonus to my time spent ‘late night standing around in line.’

Lessons learned, I pass the following warnings on to you, the reader. If you have a co-worker that dresses as such frequently:

Well, thank your deity thoroughly and enjoy the view. However, if your co-worker frequently dresses as such:

Be wary. They are mostly likely lacking in sleep and may attack when provoked.

What's so special about the new expansion that you'd find it worth it to be waiting in line? I'm guessing you just don't want to anger your wife.

As someone who used to see things from the other side (I worked for a UK game retailer and endured more than a few midnight launches) your article serves as a reminder of why I left. On any given day you were guaranteed to encounter a few geeks, but for midnight openings they marshalled there forces and attacked in numbers. And I’m not grouping all gamers as geeks just the fanatics who couldn’t converse on any subject but games (or the really bad ones who only talk about ONE game, usually Warcraft).

My husband and I wisely pre-ordered our copies from Amazon. Sure, we didn't get them until about 6 pm on the 16th, but I think it was worth the wait to not have to deal with lines like those! As it was, Outlands was so incredibly laggy with all those people there that I went and made my Draenei (no, not another freakin' Shaman!).

So do you think the big guy will freak out all happy-like over making it into someone's blog, or freak out all unhappy-like at your description? I'm betting on the former, sadly.

Of course, WOW IS NOT A STUPID GAME! I remember how furious I was about my fiance (by then) spending a lot of his time paying wow. Before, we always fight about the very little time he has for me until he asked me to try playing the game. I seriously got irritated with him at first but when I started to get a hook of it, even him couldn't stop me from playing. ROFL! I started to understand the urge to play long hours, earning gold and leveling up. Until now that we're married, we haven't stopped playing. It's great to know that beyond our world,we have another world to share, even if it's just virtual. =p
