Katamari Forever, the PlayStation 3 exclusive remix of the beloved series, has gone gold and will be out September 22, 2009 for $49.99. While this sounds like a good price, lets not forget the Xbox 360 exclusive Beautiful Katamari; costing $40 at retail but having around $40 or more in DLC, including $20 worth of levels to actually be able to finish the game - sorry, a little sore about that one.

Namco Bandai has stated Katamari Forever will have no additional DLC levels, so the remixed levels it has, culled from past Katamari games, will have to satisfy the King of All Cosmos in you.

The biggest feature is going to be the 1080p graphics upgrade for those older levels, plus graphics filters, such as Wood Tone and Comic Book. The game also sports cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. And, of course, The Prince has to fix an unfortunate accident caused by The King.
