Screenshots: Dead to Rights: Retribution

Jack Slate is back, people, and he's soon going to have those bad guys dead to rights.  How do we know that?  Well, we got an e-mail telling us all about the brand-new upcoming Dead to Rights: Retribution.  The e-mail mentioned Slate and Dead to Rights starred Slate, so we're pretty sure that we're on safe ground there.

You know who isn't on safe ground?  That's right, Slate.  Slate is going to have his work cut out for him in the new game.  Let's face it, if he didn't, what sort of fun would that be?

Okay, fair enough, lots of games have been made where the combat system didn't lie at the game's core, but those games don't get titles like Dead to Rights and Dead to Rights: Retribution.  No, those games (which we're not knocking) get titles like Happy Fun Time in La-La Land.  You put the word "dead" in a game's title and you're pretty much focusing on killing or the undead or something that is going to in some way revolve around being in, or sending people to, the afterlife.

Also, we've got screenshots which indicates this is more in the killing realm than the happy fun one.  See, take a look:

Dead to Rights: Retribution is going to carry an "M" for Mature rating and will be available in the first quarter of 2010 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
