Queen, The Beatles Hit Rock Band Today, "Fat Bottomed Girls" Included

Today sees the first batch of DLC for The Beatles: Rock Band in the form of the Abbey Road album, or to be more precise, the rest of the album. Since this only works in The Beatles: Rock Band, you will have the entire album if you buy the pack, though you can purchase the three additional Abbey Road songs individually.

However, you get much, much, more when purchasing the full album:

  • Abbey Road singles: “Maxwell's Silver Hammer,” “Oh! Darling,” and “Because”
  • The entire Abbey Road B-side 16 minute medley that includes: “You Never Give Me Your Money,” “Sun King,”  “Mean Mr. Mustard,” “Polythene Pam,” “She Came in Through the Bathroom Window,” “Golden Slumbers,” “Carry That Weight” and “The End”
  • Additionally, the following songs from Abbey Road can also be played as 1-to-3-song sets, based on how they were recorded / composed:
    • “You Never Give Me Your Money”
    • “Sun King”/ “Mean Mr. Mustard”
    • “Polythene Pam”/ “She Came in Through the Bathroom Window
    • “Golden Slumbers”/ “Carry That Weight”/ “The End”*
    • “Her Majesty”

The 16 minute b-side is the best reason to purchase the complete album, which costs 1360 Microsoft points or $16.99 in human currency for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Things get a little strange on the Wii, with the individual singles costing $2.00, the multi-track sets costing $3.50, save for "Her Majesty" only setting you back $1.

If The Beatles aren't your thing, maybe some classic rock is? Available for Rock Band/Rock Band 2 is a 10-song Queen pack, and yes, it includes "Under Pressure" with David Bowie — or as I like to call it, Vanilla Ice's career. The full list of songs is as follows:

  • "Another One Bites the Dust"
  • "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"
  • "Fat Bottomed Girls"
  • "I Want It All"
  • "I Want to Break Free"
  • "Killer Queen"
  • "One Vision"
  • "Somebody to Love"
  • "Tie Your Mother Down"
  • "Under Pressure"
The Queen Pack costs 1280 Microsoft Points or $15.99 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The songs can be purchased individually for the Nintendo Wii for $2 a piece.
