The PSP hit Pursuit Force will be patrolling the streets once again, but this time, your home won’t be excluded from the run ‘n gun action.
Sony has recently announced the sequel to Pursuit Force, subtitled Extreme Justice. The bigger news, however, is the announcement the series will be making its home debut, hitting the shelves for the Playstation 2 as well as the PSP.
Capital City has found itself in peril once again, as not only are the Convicts and Warlords back for more fun at the citizens’ leisure, but the addition of two more gangs will ensure overtime for the Pursuit Force - The Raiders, who specialize in blitzkrieg ambushes, and The Syndicate, professional bank robbers who take their valuables by any means necessary.
The key unique feature of the original – jumping from vehicle to vehicle in “ultra motion” - has been expanded upon, as tanks, trains and airplanes are fair game for any member of the Pursuit Force who needs to catch a ride. Whether on foot or in vehicle, bigger boss characters stand in your way as players try to one-up the rival Viper division of the police.
A four-player Wi-Fi mode of the game will be available on the PSP version, while the PS2 version will feature a two-player split screen mode. New recruits will support and interact with players who can now choose between three difficulty levels. A “Justice Bar” has been implemented into the game as well in order to offer players the chance to regain strength and prolong missions.
Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice is currently scheduled for a summer release on both systems.
