Genji: Days of the Blade — Feudal Japan has never looked this good, at least to us. The game has some impressive visuals, but the game play is average at best.
This could easily be described as Onimusha, but not made by Capcom.
Days of the Blade offers much of the same that 2005's Dawn of the Samurai did - the first entry into the series. You get every helping of good stuff, and all the bad to go along with it.
You now have four characters to use, and switching to them is a snap. The "real-time weapons change," from the new infamous E3 press event, is indeed quite easy to pull off.
Game play is hampered by invisible walls, tight combat, and a close camera that cannot be moved, which is quite frustrating at times.
Kamui mode, a Matrix-style alternate reality where you can deal out a lot of pain, so long as you hit the correct button sequence, is an enjoyable part of play.
Dubious for its "giant enemy crabs" that are "historically accurate," there isn't much in the way of "massive damage" to be found here. Still, this average, purely action, game is worth a play through - if you like your action Onimusha-like.

NBA 07 — The biggest claim to fame NBA 07 has is its "full HD" 1080p support. But that might not mean a hill of beans to you.
Graphically, the game is an improvement over the PS2 version of the game, though this is where the compliments stop, sadly. The players come off looking more like plastic action figures than human flesh and bones.
You can play online and off, in a season, playoff, even play three different mini-games, but the basic defense of your CPU controlled team breaks down — completely — the moment someone drives the lane.
