PlayStation Network Update: 12/20/2007

Part of: PlayStation Network Updates

Now that is what I am talking about! This is a stellar PSN update this week, no useless add-on characters and no pay for cheat code cars. What we get instead is some demos, some new PSN games, a Warhawk expansion, more Rock Band songs (Buddy Holly!), another PSOne title and some actually FREE game content for Folklore and Guitar Hero III! Woot, now that is what an update should look like. Unfortunately, they also mentioned there is no PSN update next week due to Christmas and all, so we will return in the new year. Peace out, enjoy the update and have a great holiday season, no matter what your holiday happens to be.

Note, unless it says (free) next to the title there is a cost associated with the content, login to your region's PSN store to see the cost to purchase the features/games/content.

Downloadable Games

Toy Home
Toy Home is a pretty fun car racing game where your house becomes the racetrack. Weave between other toys strewn across a bedroom floor, hurdle across kitchen tables, dodge toy soldiers and zoom along model railway tracks in moonlit playrooms. Features intuitive SIXAXIS steering controls, 8 courses, and two-player battle mode.

Snakeball is a funky, futuristic sport set in a vibrant arena where you glide across the dazzling disco floor on your hoversnake, collecting balls and scoring goals. Watch out for the other snakeballers desperate to knock you for a spin with a flick of their tails or a blast from their fiendish weapons.

It is worth noting that “Omega Factory” has six layouts. It is only one map, but that is a lot of stuff for a single map.

They also added layouts to five of the other maps so you could use the new drop ship in them. The Omega Dawn Warhawk expansion looks pretty good. I will more than likely pick this one up.

We did have a great PSN update. And again, Europe got tumble weeds.
