Nice big week on the PlayStation Network, games, PS1 classics and add-on content galore. The big new games this week are the slightly delayed Penny Arcade Adventures: On The Rainslick Precipice Of Darkness: Episode 2 and Crash Commando. The Penny Arcade game is appreciated but I really hope this is the last delayed episode. Many PlayStation purists don't want to buy the game because they feel they are being treated like second hand citizens. Let's hope Hothead listens to their feedback for episode 3.
Some PS1 classics and a legacy PSP game make their appearance with Castlevania Chronicles, RAYMAN 2: The Great Escape and Tokobot being added to the roster. Some great games and more PS1 classics are always appreciated, especially when one of them, Castlevania Chronicles, never appeared in North America before.
Add-ons are bountiful this week with an equal share of free and not so free goods. The standard Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and Karaoke Revolution updates are joined by a meager offering from the Rock Revolution game...did anyone even buy that? Rock Band, oddly enough, is featuring a country and western pack...uggh. No thanks, I will stick with the Eagles songs featured in the Guitar Hero update.
A mix of free and pay updates on hand for LittleBigPlanet and High Velocity Bowling as well as another Hot Shots Golf costume pack. More free content for NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM is available and is always appreciated!
Two demos make their way to our hard drives this week. Following on the heels of the Metal Gear Solid 4 demo from a few weeks back we now have a Metal Gear Online trial for everyone to give a whirl. A demo for the new Sonic Unleashed game is also available, giving that a try tonight.
Finally there is a great deal of multimedia content to liven up your PS3. Many game videos looking at upcoming titles, developers and the new PS3 ad campaign all presented in HD. There are a large mix of pay and free themes to peruse as well. Finally we have a few wallpapers featuring Tom Clancy’s EndWar and Crash Commando.
