We have a very nice update this week on the PSN! The big news isn't a game, demo or video, instead it is the adhocParty application. This program allows you to play any PSP game with adhoc support online via your PS3. Games like Gran Turismo PSP and SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny among others will benefit greatly from this app.
Some new games to enjoy with the amazingly addictive Peggle and its expansion Peggle Nights finally on the PS3. These games have sucked many an hour away from PC and X360 users, now Sony purists can experience the fun and addictive series. Two new PSOne titles, both great, appear this week in the form of Resident Evil 2, and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.
Sigh, in the grand tradition of 'why bother,' Flavor Flav has appeared as a flingable character for the PSN game PAIN. We also have two new ball packs for High Velocity Bowling if anyone still plays the game. There is also more free content for Way of the Samurai 3 which is always appreciated.
The usual Rock Band and Guitar Hero tracks are joined by the highly anticipated Rock Band Beatles release of the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album. A big week for Beatles fans!
Demos on the PSP for PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, LittleBigPlanet PSP, and Promethus are joined by Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines in digital format. There are also three new PSP minis to check out for those looking for some new content.
Plenty of videos, themes and wallpapers round out the update this week. Lots to enjoy and try out, for more details, please visit the official PlayStation Blog.

I don't use Ethernet to connect my PS3 to the internet with, and hell will freeze over before I run cable all the way across my living room. So since I use Wi-Fi for my PS3, and adhocParty requires the use of Wi-Fi for the PSP to talk to the PS3, adhocParty sucks.

Drat I didn't know that! I use wifi as well. Guess I have to finally run that cable!

From what I have heard from early reports, it may not be worth it. It has been described as "not just lag, but games look like they run at half speed." So, yea, I am not even going to run a cable to check it out temporarily.
