PlayStation Network Update: 10/29/2009

Part of: PlayStation Network Updates

Nice update this week on the PSN -- deals, games, demos, and add-ons abound this week. To start off there are some great deals on PSP games in particular echochrome and Super Stardust portable. This is a great time to check out some titles you may have been keeping your eye on.

Two new games appear this week, Inferno Pool and Hasbro Family Game Night. Inferno Pool is an interesting multiplayer pool game that has your sunk balls appear on your opponent's table. Hasbro Family Game Night is a compilation of Hasbro board games and Mr. Potato Head is the host as you play through them.

Some great demos to enjoy are there as well.  Following up on last week's Clank demo there is another Ratchet And Clank Future: A Crack In Time demo, this one focusing on a Ratchet level. Fat Princess has arrived in demo form which is great, I wanted to try before I buy with this game. Finally there is a demo for the always anticipated Pro Evolution Soccer 2010.

On the PSP front we have two new minis, Zombie Tycoon and Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam, as much as I love a good cooking jam, the zombies game has caught my attention. There are also a number of newly digitized PSP games, of particular note are the Petz games, I guess Sony is trying to revitalize its girl gamerz campaign!  There are also some great PSP demos, be sure to check out  LocoRoco Midnight Carnival and Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier in particular.

A few add-ons are newly available this week, too.  Normally I hate the Pain characters on offer, but this week's Elvira, with anatomically correct measurements, is very appropriate for the game and the season. Additional songs for Rock Band and Guitar Hero are available as usual, but now we also have DJ Hero Extended Mix Packs to peruse.
